Our Trip to Lubbock

We went to Lubbock Sunday afternoon for Dad to take an Advanced Burn Life Support class at University Medical Center in Lubbock. Mom pulled out the stroller to take on the trip because Mom & David were going to go to the mall while Dad attended his class. David's ready to go!
If you're family, you already got the full report on the trip, but here are the pictures.
As the trip began, David took his afternoon nap in the car.
A true father-son moment! Dad was excited to show David his first up-close view of a train going full blast ahead! Most engineers will blow a little "toot" when they see kids near the tracks. This guy let blast a full strength, long horn. David jumped, but enjoyed it all!
More train watching.

We ate yummy Mexican food that night for supper. David didn't eat anything - not even a chip.

And here he is crashed on the king size bed the next morning while Dad was at the ABLS class. Dad passed, BTW, and is now ABLS Certified.

As we left to head back home Monday afternoon, David played with his truck for a few minutes and then fell asleep on it! At one point, his pacifier fell out while he was sleeping. Then, half asleep, he reached down to pick it up, picked up the truck, and tried to stick it back in his mouth! Dad quickly helped him out to get the plug back & he never fully woke up!
As you can see, David slept for most of the trip because he's still not feeling well. A trip back to the doctor today (Tuesday) confirmed that he still has the ear infection and he was given a shot for it. I don't know if the shot was harder on David, Mom or the nurse! It was not fun! Pray that he gets well soon...
