Her First Firsts

Last Tuesday was Elizabeth's first doctor's appointment. Everything was fine. Last Wednesday was her first trip to Wal-Mart. She slept through it, strapped to my chest. David rode in the basket seat and we had a 45-gallon trash can in the basket. I'm sure we were a sight.

Thursday was Elizabeth's first day to wear a dress!

Sunday was her first trip to church. She ate at the beginning of the sermon, but did fine for the rest of the service. The following photos were today. Her eyes are NOT blue! Yeah!!

Funny Story

When I picked David up from MDO yesterday, one of my former students, 4 year old Samantha, saw me in the hall. Her face lit up & she waved excitedly across the connection center. Then she called out, "You got your baby out?" I said yes & she thought I had the baby with me, so she ran around the connection center to come see the baby. I tried to tell her, that the baby was at home with Dad, but she didn't hear me. Then she saw David and her 4 year old mind didn't realize that he's 2 1/2 already! She ran back around & grabbed her mom, dragging her back to where I was to point out my new baby! I tried to tell her that wasn't the baby... the baby wasn't that big! She never did realize what I was saying, but it was pretty funny!

2 Kids & Snow

Can you tell what David is wearing? It's the lid to the diaper pail around his neck! I'm quickly learning there's never a dull moment with 2 kids!

And how is it that they both have dirty diapers at the same time?

We have to go back to the hospital on Saturday to re-test for jaundice. So far, Mom is recovering pretty well, but very tired. David is doing ok, too. We're trying to make sure he still gets special attention from each of us.

David went to the dentist today to get his chipped tooth checked. Dentist says it's fine & told us what to watch for just in case a problem should develop with the tooth. David got a super ball, a sticker, and a cool fire truck toothbrush that spins! Quite an improvement over the cheap plastic brushes we got as a kid!

Still nothing...

Sorry to disappoint, but I'm still here... still pregnant. We are enjoying a nice visit with Grandma & MawMaw, though. Today we tried walking, Mexican food and pineapple.

Not yet...

I'm still here. I need to post pictures of the family visit we had this week - 14 people in our little house was quite fun! : ) My doctor's appointment today was rescheduled to tomorrow because the doctor got called to the hospital. Hopefully baby will make her appearance soon...

One Last Christmas

Here is David wearing his cousin's hat. He was shaking his head back & forth, so I wasn't able to catch him looking toward the camera.

I am very appreciative for family who came to see us this year since I was grounded due to pregnancy!


Here is David sitting in the middle of more Christmas presents! He has really loved those Cars books and the wooden vehicles! He even mixed the two to do a little "tractor tipping" with the wooden tractor! : )
