Tiny Talk Tuesday

I have missed Tiny Talk Tuesday while we were taking the Christmas/New Year's days off! And unfortunately, during all the chaos, I got out of the habit of remembering all the adorable things that have been said. I'll have to work harder to take note of tiny talk in the upcoming week.

We have been getting ready for Elizabeth's first birthday around here! (I can't believe it's tomorrow!!) David has traditionally been upset by a large group of people singing the birthday song in unison, so we've been having "Birthday Practice" this week. Elizabeth forgot about yanking her own party hat off when she saw David wearing his, and David is excited about singing the song to her.
I love to hear David's voice say, "E-liz-a-bif" when he talks to her. They're starting to play together more & more. It's so cute!

David got this tent for Christmas, but we hadn't set it up yet because it takes up so much room. Yesterday he asked to set it up, finally. I was amazed at how clean the living room stayed all day... but the inside of his tent was trashed! He was having so much fun in the tent that Mom had this lovely idea that David might want to sleep in it. So while he was brushing his teeth, I moved the tent onto his bed He was, indeed, very excited to sleep in the tent!
...That is until about 10:05, when he came into the living room. At first I couldn't understand what he was saying. Then I finally understood, "I smashed my tent." I went to check it out & sure enough, the tent lay in ruins there on his bed. He said it was an accident, so I'm not sure what happened. Maybe Dad will be able to repair the damage.
David still has Christmas carols on the brain, though I am trying to remind him of the other songs. Here's our dialog in the car last night...
David: Let's sing songs!
Mom: OK. The itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout...
David: No!
Mom: Down came the rain and washed the spider out...
David: Let's start over!
Mom: Out came the sun and dried up all the rain...
David: And a partridge in a pear tree!
Obviously, I need to keep working on it!

I did a little Tiny Talk Vlog during Christmas. Click there if you missed the video of David reciting Luke 2:11-14. Aunt Sissy noted that David was either talking or singing non-stop while they were here. That's a far cry from the little boy who started speech therapy a year & a half ago!
Thanks again to Mary at Not Before 7 for continuing on with Tiny Talk Tuesday!

Tiny Talk Tuesday: Baby Day Edition

This post was written in advance and scheduled for this morning...

Well, today is "Baby Day!" We are scheduled to be at the hospital at 5am to get this show on the road. That makes this my last Tiny Talk Tuesday as a mother of just two adorable children.

We'll start off with one of David's new things - joke telling.

Thursday I stood up and exclaimed about my sudden need to visit the bathroom. I was rubbing my tummy as I tried to walk across the room without having an accident...
Elizabeth: Have baby inside tummy?
Mom: Yes, I do have a baby in there.
Elizabeth: Why?
Mom, giggling, then wondering what to say: Um... because that's where she needs to be to grow.

Later in the day I saw Elizabeth rubbing her full tummy after eating & she said: Have baby inside tummy.
I wonder if she thinks I ate a baby?!?

Later still...
David: How are you feeling, Mom?
Mom: Tired.
David: Is our new baby ready to come out now?
Mom: She will be soon, dear.

Saturday, I was wearing a tight fitting tank top with a sweater over it. I was sitting in a chair when Elizabeth came up & pulled back the sweater, exposing my big, round tummy.
Elizabeth, patting my tummy: Like the moon! Like the moon!

Monday night, David was so full of excitement about the upcoming days! MawMaw came over to spend the night since we're leaving so early. About 10pm, I thought of one more thing I wanted to tell her for while we're gone. After I left her room, David met me at the hall.
David: What's going on???
Mom: I just had to tell MawMaw something. Now we're all going to bed, so you can go to sleep.
He gets back in bed. I start walking off.
David, whisper-calling out: Mom! Mom!
Mom: What, babe?
David: Tomorrow is Baby Day!

So keep us in your prayers today! My precious tiny talkers also. And I'll try to note some of the tiny talk when they see the new baby to add next week!

Tiny Talk Tuesday

Here we are for another installment of Tiny Talk Tuesday - noticing and remembering the cuteness all week long!

Some things about David absolutely amaze me. His musical ability for one thing! He can carry a tune so well, he can sing whatever words he wants to, but I can always recognize the melody. MawMaw got him a little toy guitar weekend before last and he has now started strumming it in rhythm with his songs! He also plays Grandpa's upright piano in rhythm with his songs and can match with his voice any note you play.

David also loves to count and is now working on his 30's, though his 30 and his 40 sound the same. We're working on his pronunciation. He also counted backwards the other day (from 8 if I remember correctly), without missing any! And now for a few quotes...

Grandma has a very straight scratch on her arm that has a scab on it. David saw it and said, "Ouchy, Number One." (it really does look like a 1)

While sitting on the potty the other day, he was distracted so in reminding him what we were in there for, I pointed into the potty, to which David replied, "I TT on your finger!" I guess he got a kick out of my reaction, and now he teases that he's going to TT on my foot, on the cat, etc... (teasing is another new skill)

Sorry if this grosses you out, but I was explaining to him why the cat had thrown up one day (cat's tummy hurt like when David was sick) and he decided that the stuff was called "cat tummy poop".

He had a little trouble pronouncing the word "everything" this week, but was able to do it by the time Cubbies came around. So, this week's memory verse that he recited:

He made everything beautiful.

Next week's verse is pretty long... I'll let you know how it goes.

This just in...

David was watching Sesame Street while I was typing this & he made some excited sound that Elmo just made... immediately followed by Elizabeth making the exact same sound! It sounded so much alike, that I had to ask Grandma if that second noise was Elizabeth or not!

Isn't she cute?!?

Aunt Sissy - Recognize that dress? That's the one that was sized 12 months, but that had to be wrong because it just barely fits her now!

Tiny Talk Tuesday

I almost didn't post TTT today since I was so late getting to it. We took Grandma to get her broken toe checked out this morning & it took forever! Anyway, Aunt Jana had commented that she really enjoys the tiny talk, so I'd like to dedicate this late edition of Tiny Talk Tuesday to Aunt Jana.

Seems that fishing with Uncle Glenn over Christmas made quite an impression on David! In January, I made a fishing game for David because he kept talking about it. This week, he was playing with his "fishing pole" (which is actually a modified cat toy) saying, "I'm going fishing! I'm Uncle Glenn! I'm gonna catch a big fish!"
.
Then there's also been the Dad imitation going on this week:
"I'm Dad! I'm riding a fire truck!" "I'm Dad! I'm spanking Tort!" (the cat likes to be petted rough) And more things that Dad might not want me to blog about.
.
In the car one evening, something reminded David of a previous anatomy discussion we had, and he started talking about his pecs having milk in them. Reminding him of the previous explanations, I said, "No, pecs don't have milk. Mommies have milk for feeding babies." David replied, "My pecs have chocolate milk in them!"

Read more Tiny Talk at Not Before 7. It's always a hoot to check them out.

I've been toying with the idea of adding music to my blog for a few weeks now. When I heard this new song by Steven Curtis Chapman, One Heartbeat at a Time (lyrics here), I decided to go ahead & test run my "Mommy Playlist" on this post. Let me know if you do or don't like music on the blog. In the meantime, enjoy some of my favorite mommy songs.

(I edited this post so that the music is not auto-starting, so if you want to enjoy my Mommy playlist, you'll have to click play!)

Tiny Talk Tuesday

David helped finish the Christmas cookies for the neighbor's tins yesterday. Now Dad wants us to make a batch for him!

On with the Tiny Talk!

While sitting on the potty one day

Old McDonald had a farm
E-I-E-I-O
And on his farm he had a potty
E-I-E-I-O
With a flush, flush...
Old McDonald had a farm
E-I-E-I-O
And on his farm he had a fire truck
E-I-E-I-O
With a whoo-oooh, whoo-ooh...

Saturday morning at 7:30
David: Mom, get up!
Mom: Why?
David: Because I'm being up!

Play-doh Day
(Elizabeth's first Play-doh experience!)

For our Christmas Tiny Talk, we present a song:

AND, flash back to an August day for this rousing rendition of Jingle Bells:

Before going to MawMaw's house to play yesterday, we went by the little library in town & got some more Christmas books. So far, David's favorite book has been My First Christmas Magnetic Adventure. Tiny Talk Tuesday: The 18-month Old

Tiny Talk Tuesday is usually all about things David has said, but today I'm marveling at Elizabeth! There is absolutely no comparison between my two children. At 18-months old, David was starting speech therapy because he wasn't talking. So I've been trying to count the words that Elizabeth uses now at 18-months, and I've lost count. Have you heard all these?

milk, cup, dink or gink (drink), fish (goldfish), berry (strawberry), bar (fruit bar), nana (banana), apple, eat, I ont ice (I want ice), more thank you, peas (please), hello, nite-nite, bye-bye (Grana), Mama, Daddy, Da-Did, Ah-Ma, Ah-Pa, MawMaw, NaNaPapa, Ah Jana, Ah Wee, Bubba, Grover, Elmo, Boz BALL!!!, block, truck, bubble, dolly, baby, doggie, cat, duck, bird, cow, MOO!!! shoes, shirt, bath, GO!, eye, nose, mouth, ear, button (belly)

And she's stringing it all together into phrases & short sentences:
Wh sat? (What's that?) Nite nite, Da-did. Where go? (just after she's hidden something!)

There's probably more that she's said, but I just can't keep up with it all. It's such a joy to hear her talking (for now!), especially after coming through a late talker first. She gets so excited about everything, too. She is just so funny and wonderful and I'm glad she's mine!

I wasn't planning on TTT-ing David's words today, but this one... well, you'll see. David was in the shower tonight when I started to smell something familiar. A sweet, fruity smell. My shampoo!!! I pulled back the curtain to find him sitting there with my previously full, jumbo-sized pump bottle of shampoo, turned upside down, pumping away. I calmly asked, "David, what are you doing with my shampoo?"

He stood up, stroked his chin like a great thinker and replied, "Hmmm... I'm using my imagination."

It took all I had to hold back the giggles as I told him never to touch Mom's shampoo again. Then I picked up the now empty bottle and my shoulders dropped. Guess now I'm stuck with dandruff shampoo or baby shampoo.

Tiny Talk Tuesday

We've been working on learning manners...

David burps.
Mom: Say "excuse me" when you burp.
David: Excuse me when you burp.

>^..^<

David has learned the routine - when Elizabeth falls asleep while nursing, I put her in the swing for her nap. Now when he notices that she is asleep in my lap, and he wants to play with me, he says:

Mom, you put Elizabeth in the swing.

>^..^<

David earned his first patch for his vest in Cubbies last Wednesday! I was so proud! He recited the verse:

God created the heavens and the earth.
Genesis 1:1

>^..^<

This picture was taken this morning. Doesn't look like he was awake good, does it? : ) Sometimes I get caught up in the whining, crying, waiting beside the potty, changing diapers, etc and forget to take note of the cute things that are happening right under my nose. So I just wanted to say again how much I enjoy "Tiny Talk Tuesday" because it keeps me looking for cuteness all week long! See more Tiny Talk over at Not Before 7, where it all gets started.

So what cuteness did you see this week?

Tiny Talk Tuesday & Our First Bus Ride

Elizabeth's vocabulary has now expanded to include vowel sounds and consonant sounds. Now that she's got dadada down, mamama seems to be a thing of the past. But I will always remember that she said my name first! At times her dadada seems like dadid... hmmm... could she seriously be saying David? Yesterday was her 8 month birthday. I just can't believe it. No teeth yet, but look how long her hair is getting!

Monday, we went with Grandma's quilt club, the Sew & Sews, to the big Jo-Ann Superstore in Dallas. Before leaving the church, we all made a potty run. Grandma ended up in the stall beside us, and she waved under the partition. David quickly caught on...

D: Grandmas go tt in the potty?
Mom: Yes.
D (rather loudly): Great job, Grandma!!!
Loud cackles from the rest of the bathroom.

We went in the church bus, making this both David & Elizabeth's first bus ride! David thought it was pretty cool getting on the bus.

I think he liked the big windows and he pointed out all colors of cars on the highways, a Target truck, and lots of rain.

Elizabeth also seemed to enjoy herself. Actually, she slept most of the time that the bus was rolling.

We quietly sang a few songs while the ladies visited with each other. David had finished off all 3 of the granola bars that I brought by about 30 minutes into the trip!

Grandpa was our bus driver. He wore his cowboy hat.

After letting the ladies off at Jo-Ann's, we stayed in the bus a little bit while Elizabeth nursed, then went to the Whole Foods Market across the parking lot where I was able to get some yummy fresh bread, David's Omega-3 Oil, and some gDiapers liners! (Earth-Friendly Diapers. Happy Baby. Happy Planet.) We got our lunch in the Market. I had a delicious sandwich from the deli & David had a slice of 4-cheese pizza. When I opened his box, he exclaimed, "PIZZA!"

We did finally make it to Jo-Ann's where David pleaded, "Ride moving stairs, Mom???" (the escalator), but since we had a basket we rode the glass elevator instead. Much to my surprise, that suited him as well & on the way back down, he asked, "Ride the escalator, Mom???" meaning the elevator this time!

Speaking of Jo-Ann's, if you bought the Robbie Ducky Watering Can this year, you need to take it back to the store ASAP, as it is another made in China play pretty contaminated with excessive levels of lead paint. I hope you're thinking of alternatives to made in China toys for Christmas this year... seems that nothing's safe these days. NotChinaMade.net has a list of alternative shopping websites and I have added a Toys Made in the USA page in my Amazon store.
.
I know I covered more than just Tiny Talk today, but if you want to read more cute things kids are saying, visit Not Before 7. Even though she's on vacation, I think Tiny Talk Tuesday will still be there.

Tiny Talk Tuesday

His words to go with this photo:
Look, I'm El Toro Loco with one horn! (holding up the guitar with straw attachment to his head, then he added the finger horn) Look, I'm El Toro Loco with two horns!

He's always thinking... I told him today that El Toro Loco means the Crazy Bull in Spanish, but he didn't believe me!

Oh, and that reminds me - Elizabeth said something today that we couldn't understand, so David said, "Elizabeth is speaking Spanish!"

No words to go with this one, but has anyone else noticed that underwear always seems to fit not only the bottom, but the top as well? I remember one of Uncle Bubba's friends wearing his underwear on his head one day on the school bus...

There's EB's kicking back with some milk before bedtime. She's saying "hi" to everyone all day long. When Dad comes in from working, "Hi, Dad!" When Grandpa comes in from working, "Hi, Grandpa!" When Grandma comes in from Quilt Club, "Hi, Grandma!" And every single time Jesse walked by last weekend when he was staying here, "There's Jesse!"

With all that's going on right now, sometime Tiny Talk Tuesday is the only post I get to all week, but I know the family that reads this enjoys it, so I try really hard to make sure it's here for ya! You can read more Tiny Talk by clicking over to Not Before 7.

Bit of Tiny Talk from All 3!

David has been talking since last Tuesday. I mean literally since last Tuesday! I wanted to vlog for Tiny Talk this week. He was explaining the Grand Prix race car, complete with spoiler, that he built out of Legos. Then we had a tired meltdown & foiled that plan. But before that, as he was explaining it to me, I told him, "You're so smart, David!" To which he replied, "I certainly am!"

Elizabeth is quickly picking up non-stop talking from her brother and is labelling just about everything she sees. Tonight as we headed for bed, I called out, "Nite-nite, Grandma & Grandpa!" Grandma replied, but Grandpa didn't say anything. Elizabeth called out "Ga-pa, ni-ni, Ga-pa," until Grandpa finally told her nite-nite, too!

This morning I had this month's OB check-up. All it was really was a chance to hear the heartbeat, which I did. It sounded fine. OK, so that's not talking, but it is #3's first appearance on Tiny Talk Tuesday!! Anyway, I hadn't gained any weight since last month, so not being able to fasten my pants any more tells me that baby is growing and not me!

We're still working on the house daily. Meaning Dad & I are the only. ones. working. Grrr.... The plumber came today & left, saying he needs to have electricity on to finish his work & charge the lines (well water). The septic tank can't be installed until there's water, and there's no water until we have electricity. The painters can't do their finish-up / touch-up until there's electricity. Most of the electric company people are working to get the hurricane victims electricity again. So, Dad & I will continue working on what we can until there's nothing left we can do. Almost makes me wish for a cookie cutter house...

Tiny Talk & First Drawing

I have completely forgotten to post Tiny Talk Tuesday the last 2 weeks! Last week I intended to post these videos of David's non-stop talking:

Boy, does it take Blogger forever to load videos! In the following video, I was trying to get Elizabeth to sing EIEIO with me. When she does it, it's adorable! She ended up doing more peek-a-boo and David was singing with me in the background.

We've had to have some discussions lately about how we love our family, so we need to talk nicely to each other. Today, I heard David saying to Elizabeth, in a not-so-nice tone, "Don't get my cars, Sweetie!" I had to giggle. I think adding "Sweetie" was his attempt at talking nice to his sister.

Tonight during bedtime prayers, I paused, and David interjected, "The End."

I know it's not Tuesday, but I'm going to link anyway. Check out more Tiny Talk over at Not Before 7!

Elizabeth also had another first today - her first crayon drawing! I gave her small red, yellow & blue crayons and let her go.

Tiny Talk Tuesday: Expanding Vocabularies

Mom: What color is the apple?
David: Delicious!

David: You're a good helper, Mom!

David saw Grover in the potty this week...

I gave David a cup of juice that had some water on the outside of the cup & he floored me by responding with his biggest sentence ever:
I need a napkin to wash my cup off.

Lately he's found counting things exciting. He'll say this, as if it was the best idea ever:
I know - let's count the cookies! 1, 2, 3...

Grandma got found this little plastic cell phone (see photo above) for David & he's been mimicking us with our cell phones. I got a couple of calls in the store the other day & Grandma had her phone out, too. David said, "I know - let's count phones! 1, 2, 3 - three phones! Brrring... Hello? Aunt Jana?"

After Elizabeth's bath, I towel-dried her hair. Can you see it curling straight up??? The second picture is after I brushed it.
Elizabeth's vocabulary now includes 2 words: mamama and dadada! I still came first!!!!

Tiny Talk Tuesday

So I found this neat feature last week at Not Before 7 - Tiny Talk Tuesday - featuring the cute things kids say each week. I thought how much fun this would be! Well, I paid close attention to the things David said all week & the best thing I could come up with was this while potty training:

"TT, where are you?" spoken in the cutest little sing-songy voice you can imagine.

Then today, *I* said something that I think any Mom of a tiny tot might be able to appreciate... or sympathize with, at least:

"Get the bread out from between your toes!" Then not spoken quickly enough was, "but don't eat it now!"

Tiny Talk Tuesday in Memory

I haven't felt much like blogging lately. But I'll do this one in memory of Grandma, my Momma, who passed away February 11, 2010. She loved to read Tiny Talk Tuesday.

Grandma & David, 2007

Uncle Jimmy came to visit Grandma last week. My kids had never met him, so I asked: So what did you think of Uncle Jimmy?
David: He had girl hair.
Elizabeth: Yeah, it was white!
Uncle Jimmy has gray/white hair in a long pony tail.

Aunt Sissy was making David & Elizabeth peanut butter sandwiches last night and asked: Do you want squares or triangles?
Elizabeth: Triangles!
David: I want it like a man! (a whole sandwich, not cut)

Grandma & Elizabeth, 2009

We've had to talk about the subject of death. When I explained heaven, David replied: Now there are two people in heaven - Great and Grandma.

Dad did an excellent job when he talked to David. One night at supper, David said: Grandma's soul is in heaven.

We love you Grandma and miss you greatly.

Tiny Talk Tuesday

David was sitting at the table working on his Legos when I heard him say, "I saw Obama on the news."

Strange thing is, I don't think we've seen the news since inauguration day! "You saw Obama," I asked with amazement.

"Yeah, Rock Obama."

I saw the potential for a good TTT post here, so I asked what Rock had said on the news. His reply:

"The weather."

Crack me up, that boy does.... Thanks to Mary at Not Before 7 for hosting Tiny Talk Tuesday each week!

Tiny Talk Tuesday: Toothless Edition

There were several things Elizabeth said this week that made me think, "I'm gonna remember that for Tiny Talk Tuesday." You'll just have to trust me. She's cute.

Elizabeth and I went out to the barn to put the chickens up tonight. Rebekah was already asleep & in bed. I'm not even sure what David was doing. We came back inside to find David in the bathroom crying, blood on his face.

I was on the phone with Aunt Sissy, so I quickly said goodbye just as David started to exclaim in his distress, "Mom! I'm falling apart!!!"

Please don't think that we've never warned him that he would loose his baby teeth. Apparently that just slipped his mind.

After reminding him about his baby teeth and his grown up teeth, and reassuring him that this means he's turning into a big kid, he started to be ok with falling apart... I mean, loosing a tooth.

Upon further questioning, it seems that he was playing on the couch and hit his mouth, knocking the tooth out. It must have been starting to loosen without us noticing. Now that he's asleep, I guess it's time to put on my fairy wings...

Tiny Talk Tuesday Welcomes the Newcomer

Tiny Talk Tuesday welcomes newcomer,
Rebekah!

Rebekah: Mama! Mama! Mama! and repeat...
Sweet, sweet sound to my ears! : ) She says it so much now and it's very obvious that she knows what it means, too! She also says Ba Ba, which I think is what she's calling herself.

Mom: Guess who's on your shirt.
Elizabeth: Guess?
Mom: Yeah, guess who's on the front of your shirt.
I turn shirt around and she replies: OH! That's not Guess! That's Cookie Monster!

Elizabeth, while playing with a little Mary doll: This Mary is wearing a blue dress of God.

Elizabeth: Mom, what's this?
Mom: That's a piece of coral.
Elizabeth: Can we eat it?
Mom: No, it's like a rock.
Elizabeth: Oh. Did you get this when you were swimming under the sea?
Mom: Yep.
Elizabeth: Were you scared swimming under the sea?
Mom: No, it was beautiful under the sea.
Elizabeth: Ariel swims under the sea. Mom, I want to watch a princess movie.

David has really enjoyed singing Christmas carols this year:
Frosty, the snowman,
in a one-horse open sleigh
with a corn cob pipe
and a button nose
and two eyes made out of coal.

Tiny Talk Tuesday

As I was changing Elizabeth into her PJ's one evening...

Mom to Dad: I just love "neked" baby skin! She's so soft & squishy & rolly-polly!
David, who was playing nearby: She's not a rolly polly, she's a ladybug!

Nothing boosts your self esteem like this one...
Mom: David, you're soooo cute!
David: Elizabeth is cute!
Mom: That's right, Elizabeth is cute, too.
David: Mom is cute!
Mom: Aw, thank you, David!

At bedtime prayers...
Mom: Thank you, God, for David. Thank you, God, for Elizabeth. Thank you, God, for
David: Blimp! (referring to his Lightyear Blimp from Cars)

Watching Sesame Street with the letter of the day "B", David declared, "B is for Blue Blimp!"

This one was not either of my children, but last week in Cubbies, the teacher told the story of the 10 lepers using a flannel board. I guess one little boy had been to church enough to know the usual answer to the teacher's question...
Teacher: How many men are here on the board?
Boy: GOD!

Two Days Until Thanksgiving!

Are you being thankful with your family?
Today, I'm thankful for Grandma playing catch with Elizabeth while I'm typing this!
I'm thankful for Mary at Not Before 7 for hosting Tiny Talk Tuesday each week!

Tiny Talk Tuesday & -NEW- Muffin Tin Monday!

I found my note from last week and am once again joining Tiny Talk Tuesday!!! Yeah!!!
.

As we were driving to church one morning, there were some dark clouds gathering in the sky. David said, "That cloud is full of darkness!" and then, "A dark cloud is hanging over my head!" Hmmm... that's an awfully deep sounding statement from a just-turned-4-year-old!

See David's description of his ephemeral art project on yesterday's post.
.

This morning in the car, I was talking to my best friend on the phone & I let the "s" word slip out... s-t-u-p-i-d. David said with a little gasp, "Mama, did you say that word? You shouldn't say that word; we're not supposed to say that word!" Thank you, my little conscience. I did apologize to him for saying it & admitted that I should not have said it. Luckily by the time we got to our destination, he forgot all about giving me a spanking!
.

Elizabeth is trying new words all the time. She's now saying, "Thank you" regularly when you give her something & it is soooo adorable!

.
We make the rounds each night at bedtime & she now says, "Nite nite, Da-did!"

.
We tried something new this week - Muffin Tin Monday. Below is the muffin tin I prepared for Elizabeth for supper. She was quite pleased with it! And I absolutely love that worn out old muffin tin!
.

Clockwise from the top left corner: leftover cinnamon roll pieces, Cheerios & Fruity Cheerios, strawberries, dried apricots, leftover whole wheat ravioli, and cheese toast.

Elizabeth ate everything except the ravioli and some of the Cheerios, as well as the remainder of the piece of cheese toast! She was hungry! I prepared a similar muffin tin for David & he was not so thrilled. He didn't like the fruit even being on his plate! I told him he didn't have to eat everything, but that it was there if he wanted to just give it a little try. All he ate was the grilled cheese (his was an actual sandwich) and the Cheerios. I think I'll keep trying this every once in a while just to see if he'll ever try anything new... or at least try something that he used to eat but refuses to eat any more!
